Each cast iron model of Le Creuset è still produced in the Fresnoy-le-Grand factory. From a cauldron called Creuset , the liquid cast iron is poured into sand molds which are subsequently broken to move on to the high-temperature glazing and vitrification phase on the entire surface. The initial vitrification guarantees long life and resistance to thermal shocks, the subsequent vitrified enamelling gives a brightly colored finish. Performing and aesthetically beautiful, the Le Creuset cast iron pans guarantee ample versatility; d’ use for preparation and food preservation. The company's iconic colors are Volcanique orange and Cerise cherry red. But how were they born? L’ Volcanique orangeè was the first color made becauseé similar to the lapilli of molten cast iron. It was used immediately in 1925 and still today is; one of the mostù appreciated.
