| Description | Ponza together with Palmarola, Gavi and Zannone form the archipelago of the Ponziane Islands, in the Tyrrhenian Sea. Punta Fieno an impervious unspoilt location on the island of Ponza that can only be reached via an old mule track. In 1734, Charles of Bourbon granted Punta Fieno to Pietro Migliaccio of Ischia the task of planting the famous Ischia vines of biancolella, forastera, guarnaccia, aglianico and piedirosso. Unfortunately, the access difficulties led over time to the abandonment of the cultivation of vines and their slow decline. In 2020, a descendant of the Migiaccio family, Emanuele Vittorio, decided to recover the old vineyards and bring them back to their former glory. The recovery of the vineyards also follows, which is very important, a recovery of the ancient traditions in the cultivation of the vines done manually, in a natural way with respect for the environment and the territory: the result is; the production of warm and intense, mineral wines with a Mediterranean flavour.
