Bolgheri Rosso Doc Villa Donoratico é a strong and complex ruby red wine with a character deeply linked to the territory of origin. Obtained from four different varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Frenc and Petit Verdot grapes, all produced in the historic Argentiera Bolgheri Estate in the Castagneto Carducci vineyards. The intense aromas of the red fruit of currants, raspberries and cherries are completed with the spicy and balsamic aromatic notes of licorice and eucalyptus, giving very pleasant sensations. The texture of the tannin is; silky and enveloping. Finally, it ends with a long lasting, slightly mineral finish.

Description | Bolgheri is; a village in the Alta Maremma located in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, in the province of Livorno, in the region Tuscany. A magnificent piece of Maremma land that unites the countryside and the sea, suspended between woods and Mediterranean scrub. "Gherardesca and Bolgheri. In the past, one of the communities of the Pisan Maremma bore this double name, now distinct with that of Castagneto. All those localities were as many fiefdoms of the illustrious lineage of the Gherardesca Counts". Bolgheri Rosso DOC (Controlled Designation of Origin) Villa Donoratico an intense ruby garnet red wine with violet reflections obtained from Cebernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Frenc grapes produced on the Argentiera Bogheri estate. The harvest takes place with the harvesting of the grapes done by hand and arranged on a double sorting table where only the whole grapes fall into the tank for vinification. The different varieties; of grapes are vinified separately. The maceration and the subsequent fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks for 20-25 days at a controlled temperature which does not exceed 28°C and a subsequent malolactic fermentation. The maturation process takes place, for 80%, in French and Austrian oak tonneaux and, for the remaining 20%, in French oak barriques. Lastly, a aging in glass bottles, before being marketed. |
